The Wellhead Abandonment service is a versatile operation. It can successfully sever wellheads consisting of four casings up to 36" outer diameter and is readily deployable in locations throughout the world.
The Wellhead Abandonment Severance Service can be deployed from a drilling rig, a semisubmersible or from a Dive Support Vessel. In all cases the system is designed for efficiency and reliability. When running the charge assembly from a drilling rig it is normal to use either the sand-line or similar cable winch system. This allows rapid deployment to seabed depth and, when required in shallower waters, it allows the vessel to move off location to a safe distance.
The service is fully operational in water depths of up to 3,000 metres.
